Live-Action FPS Pump Paintball

By Richard Thomas

Computers in all their many forms have taken over the bodies and souls of many people. Computers are everywhere, in the office, in the home, in the airplane, in boats, in schools, in malls, everywhere. Due to this fewer and fewer people get to experience, or find themselves experiencing the greater things in life, one of these things is the real live first person shooter, or FPS, which is known to the world as paintball.

War Rock, Counter Strike, and Left 4 Dead, are examples of FPS games that are played by many people in their homes, internet cafes, and sometimes even at work. These kinds of FPS are usually played by many people at the same time, these people being divided into teams. In real life, with paintball, there are real time games and competitions as well. But unlike its video game counterparts, with paintball, the player is limited to only three kinds of weapons, the pump paintball, semi-automatic, and the automatic guns. These three are the only choices, there are no bazookas that fling paint balloons or something like that.

Using pump paintball guns in a game increase the levels of adrenaline that gets pumped into the blood stream, there is a greater or rather more enhanced level of excitement in the game. Those things take time to reload and fire, unlike its semi and auto counterparts. Those combat simulation battles that most people play in net cafes or at home via the internet, can relate to a pump paintball game. Its got objectives, teamwork, and usually a time limit.

Pump paintball is the way to go, its more challenging as compared to using the other two guns. Its also the more healthy one if taken in short doses. The blood really gets pumping when a player has to constantly avoid getting hit or spotted, and still make a shot or two. This is the kind of game that can be enjoyed by the whole family, and if there's a family feud the families can duke it out on a battlefield as if there was a real gun battle.

Pump paintball guns aren't the only ones on the shelves in paintball supply stores. There are also those semi-automatic and automatic paintball guns, or markers as they are sometimes referred to as, that fire rapid-fire shoots or streams of paintballs at a target. Most that use this tactic hope that at least one of the balls makes its mark and hits home.

If a paintball player wants to showcase their talents, or prove that they are just as good in the real world as in the virtual, paintball is the best way to go. But if a player really wants to show that he or she is the best or at least one of the best, then pick up a pump paintball gun, and go old school on a bunch of semis and autos.
